| No Granule - Feedstock may be Hung Up Inside the Hopper |
- Shut Down the Granulator
- Screens may be clogged - Clean as needed
- Fan my be too small - Replace with Larger Unit or Fan Wheel
- Fan Line may be clogged - Clean as needed

| Stringy Granulate |
- Shut Down the Granulator
- Knife Gap is too large. Adjust knives to Proper Gap Specification
- Knives are Dull. Sharpen or Replace Knives and Re-Install
- Overloading of Feedstock. Reduce the amount of Feedstock put into the machine at one time

| Fines |
- Shut Down the Granulator
- Knives are Dull. Sharpen the Knives and Re-Install
- Clean Screens to allow for Proper Fan Evacuation
- Rotor Speed is too Fast. Change Pulley
- Screen Size is too Small. Changes to a Screen with Larger Holes

| Blown Fuses |
- Shut Down the Granulator
- Overloading the Unit. Reduce the amount of Feedstock put into the machine at one time
- Knives are Dull. Sharpen or Replace Knives and Re-Install
- Knife Gap is too large. Adjust knives to Proper Gap Specification
- Clearance between the Rotor Knives and Screen is too Small. Verify that the Screen is Properly Seated in the Screen Chamber

| Machine Stalls |
- Shut Down the Granulator
- Overloading the Unit. Reduce the amount of Feedstock put into the machine at one time
- Pieces of Feedstock jammed in the rotor. Clear the jammed material then inspect the rotor for damage and that the knife gaps are correct
- Machine has Thrown Belts. Inspect and if acceptable Re-Install and Tighten per Maintenance Instructions

| Bearing Sound Noisy or Hot |
- Shut Down the Granulator
- Lack of Lubrication. Lubricate per Maintenance Instructions
- Overloading the Unit. Reduce the amount of Feedstock put into the machine at one time
- Bearings have exceeded their Rated Life. Contact the Parts/Service Department for Installation Instructions

| Belts Slip or Squeal |
- Shut Down the Granulator
- Belts are Too Loose. Tighten per Maintenance Instructions
- Overloading the Unit. Reduce the amount of Feedstock put into the machine at one time
- Machine has Thrown Belts. Inspect and if acceptable Re-Install and Tighten per Maintenance Instructions

| Motor Will Not Start |
- Shut Down the Granulator
- Fuses are Blown. Replace Fuses with the size and shown on the Wiring Diagram (located in the control enclosure)
- A limit Switch is Open. Check the Limit Switches at the Machine Front Doors and any Hopper Cleanout Door.
- Verify that the Main Disconnect Switch is in the ON position

| Granulate Builds Up in the Transition or Tubing |
- Shut Down the Granulator
- Fan is too Small. Replace with a larger unit or Fan Wheel
- Transition or Cyclonic Air Separator tubing is clogged. Clean as needed
- Return Air Vents are Covered or are too Small. Check for a Loose Fan Wheel on Shaft, a Worn Fan Wheel or Loose Fan Drive Belts. Replace as Needed

| Feedstock Hangs Up in the Hopper of Cutting Chamber |
- Shut Down the Granulator
- Material being placed into the Machine for Processing is too Large for the Hopper, Cutting Chamber or Rotor Diameter. Reduce the initial Size of the Feedstock
- Knives are Dull. Sharpen or Replace and Re-Install
- Overloading the Unit. Reduce the amount of Feedstock put into the machine at one time
